| 7/4/2012 Tianmu Shan, China: What a great place! Collared Finchbill , Dollarbird , White Wagtail , Vinous-throated Parrotbill , Red-rumped Swallow , Russet Sparrow (f+m), Meadow Bunting (on wire), and Himalayan Black Bulbul (or now Black Bulbul ) in the trees. |
| 7/4/2012 Tianmu Shan, China: A study of a Plumbeous Redstart family along a cascading river in the mountains. A type of cicada in one area sounded like a chainsaw in progress. |
| 7/4/2012 Tianmushan, China: Other birds seen: Asain House Martin (nesting and gathering mud for nests), Eastern Great Tit , Chestnut-bellied Rock Thrush (juv and male) and lots of butterflies! |
| 7/4/2012 Tianmu Shan, China: It was so exciting to see a Red-billed Blue Magpie flock gather to preen on an early morning in the mountains. The three juveniles were fun to watch. (It was very low light though.) |
