| 4/29/20 Jacksonville, FL: A Clapper Rail was out finding food for the family - a study. The chicks only came out for a bit then vanished into the reeds. The parents were bringing tiny fish. In the end, a grackle grabbed a chick's fish and the papa moved the family to safer grounds. Also: Little Blue Heron , Red-breasted Merganser , White Ibis , Snowy Egret , and a Laughing Gull nibbling at a dead fish. |
