| 4/28/19 to 5/6/19 TX and AZ: We were busy the month of April with the grand baby and the flu but bounced back to head out to TX and AZ for a camping trip. We stopped at Lost Maples and Big Bend National Park in TX, then headed to Paradise and Patagonia in AZ. It was an amazing trip with lots of birds and amazing stargazing at night. | 4/28/19 Lost Maples Natural Area, TX: We had fun watching the Indigo Bunting and Painted Bunting individuals show up in various dress codes. Also: Black-crested Titmouse , Black-chinned Hummingbird , Golden-cheeked Warbler , Clay-colored Sparrow (couldn't quite make a juvenile Chipping Sparrow out of him), and many Chipping Sparrows nesting as well. |
| 4/28/19 Lost Maples Natural Area, TX: Carolina Chickadee , Red-tailed Hawk , Ruby-throated Hummingbird , Summer Tanager , White-winged Dove , Northern Cardinal , House Finch , and Eastern Phoebe . |
