| 8/26 to 8/29/2017 : Denver, CO: While visiting family, we took in some early morning birding each day. A Red-shafted Northern Flicker study (Last pic may be a Yellow/Red-shafted hybrid - note the bit of red at the back of head and yellowish coloration on wings.) , Lark Bunting , and Lark Sparrow . |
| 8/23 to 8/29/2017 : A trip to Denver, CO allowed us to see both family and birds! Lots of mammals and wild flowers were seen as well. |

Shown here: Red-breasted Nuthatch , Cooper's Hawk (after much deliberation), Rufous Hummingbird (pausing above us to say hello) , American Goldfinch , a Black-billed Magpie troupe showing great colors , Brewer's Sparrow (ad. and juv.), Clay-colored Sparrow , and House Wren . |
