9/5-8/2016  Amelia Island, FL:  An immature Red-tailed Hawk stopped by our road and we thank our
neighbors Ann and Tom for letting us know!  Thanks also to Linda for making us aware of a young
Red-shouldered Hawk roaming her yard!  An Eastern Bluebird duo was hunting a nearby parking lot and
butterflies were sipping from the flower patches on their way south.
9/18+19/2016  Huguenot Memorial Park and Amelia Island, FL:  Migration is in full swing:  Wood Stork ,
Wilson's Plover , Semipalmated Plover , Sanderling , Ruddy Turnstone (bath), Royal Tern , Lesser
Black-backed Gull , Sandwich Tern , Laughing Gull , Great Egret , Reddish Egret , Common Tern , Snowy
Egret , Caspian Tern study , and Brown Pelican .
