| 8/26/2016 Big Talbot, FL: Evening allowed good light and we caught the White Pelican flock still feeding , a Roseate Spoonbill flock putting on a show , one Pectoral Sandpiper , Snowy Egret individuals hunting , a Semipalmated Sandpiper group, and a Sanderling feeding along the lagoon shore. |

| 8/26/2016 Big Talbot, FL: Although everything was backlit that morning, a brief stop at the lagoon was a must - there was so much life! Some late Mallard chicks were adorable. An hour later, most of the egrets had vanished and we returned that evening for better light. Glossy Ibis , Lesser Yellowlegs , Least Sandpiper , Killdeer , Greater Yellowlegs , mixed flock , Black Skimmer (these guys are fascinating in any light), Canada Goose , Black-necked Stilt , and a distant bobcat snatching a poor egret from the flock. |
