| 4/11/2015 to 4/27/2015 We headed west on a camping trip and hit the High Island area including Anahuac NWR, TX. On through NM to CO, we stopped along the way to catch area birds. |
| 4/11 thru 13/2015 High Island, Sabine Woods, and Anahuac NWR, TX: We were much taken with a number of Scissor-tailed Flycatcher individuals we saw. Unfortunately, they perched mostly on wire fences and we didn't have the time to hang with them as long as we would have liked. What grace! Also, Savannah Sparrow , a quick glimpse of a Rose-breasted Grosbeak , and Roseate Spoonbills. For more warblers, tanagers, and rails, Click NEXT PAGE below. |
| 4/15+16/2015 Lost Maples, TX: Awesome place! 4/15/15 A Lazuli Bunting was a treat! Also, Eastern Phoebe , Lark Sparrow, Common Raven, Chipping Sparrow taking a bath, Lincoln's Sparrow , Eastern Bluebird at nest, and Rufous-crowned Sparrow . Then, Scott's Oriole, Spotted Towhee , Western Scrub-Jay , White-tipped Dove , White-winged Dove , Wild Turkey , House Finch (m,f), Carolina Wren , Brown-headed Cowbird (m) taking a bath , Black-crested Titmouse , and Black-chinned Hummingbird study. |
