5/8+10/2014 St. Augustine, FL: We had to see how everyone was doing. Wood Stork young were bigger and the Tricolored Heron nests were full. Snowy Egret chicks were thriving as were the Roseate Spoonbill families. The Cattle Egret are generally the most secretive and were just having their young while some were still in breeding plumage - just beautiful!

5/13/2014 St. Augustine, FL: Yes, we are addicted to the place and all the chicks showing up. Tricolored Heron (first pic: "the Chicks from Hell"- tho they really are quite cute), Snowy Egret study, Little Blue Heron on nest , and a brave Great Egret showing the dangerous pastime of feeding of teens. Also a Common Ground-Dove .

5/26/2014 Huguenot Mem. Park, FL: We interrupt this broadcast to report the little American Oystercatcher is doing well and both parents are on patrol. PLEASE Do not disturb the family by getting too close to view or photograph as they try to get to the water's edge.
