| ASIA for TOURISTS: We will post our recent landscape pictures here: (We use little pocket cameras for these photos.) |

| 8/15 thru 20/13 Sri Lanka. We flew into Columbo and met up with Sam of Eco Team touring group. A big thanks to him and Shelton for showing us their beautiful country. Being birders and wildlife lovers, we headed for the national parks, of course. The first night we stayed near the Sinharaja Rain Forest in the "wet" zone. Then, we moved on into the "dry zone" and went on safari into Udawalawe Mational Park, Yala National Park, and finally Bundala National Park where we saw elephants, deer, monkeys, snakes, crocs (one chowing down a huge bullfrog) , and even a rare leopard. Some of the spiders, snails, lizards, and centipedes were huge. The first spider is fist-size female with a thumb-nail male on its back. Below are some of the non-avian creatures we saw.
