11/24/2012 Huangshan, Yellow Mountain, China:  a huge WOW!  Thank goodness for the cable cars that
wisk you up to a place where you can still hike to your heart's content.  The views were breathtaking!
11/24/2012 Huangshan, Yellow Mountain, China:  An ice storm had struck the mountain the night before
and left its art on the greenery.
11/24/2012 Jiuhuashan, China: One of the four blessed mountains for Buddhists in China.  It is not as high
as Huangshan but has countless temples and monasteries.  It was enveloped in a fog while we were
there which made the sights almost mystical but did not allow us the views.  We saw pilgrims walking up
and prostrating themselves on the ground every few feet.  The locks accompany prayers.  One of the
most interesting chambers in one of the temples was an upper room where the facial expressions of
monks long gone were captured in their statues.  They varied dramatically and were fascinating.  Also,
some scenes from the town below the mountain are shown where more temples were situated.
