2/3/2012 Back in time a bit.  Gongqing National Forest Park, China: White-rumped Munia flock came to play
in a big way along with some of the usual suspects: Red-flanked Bluetail , light-vented Bulbul , Brambling ,
Grey Wagtail , Azure-winged Magpie , Pallas's Leaf Warbler , Chinese Grosbeak , Dusky Thrush , and
Eurasian Blackbird.
2/17/2012 A swift trip to Century Park when the sun came out yielded a Scaly Thrush (a study of one
individual) and a Dusky Thrush flock (showing both subspecies naumanni ***(reddish) and eunomus
(darker-spotted)) *** Reddish is now Naumann's Thrush.  Found a beautiful bloom that promised Spring!
2/18/2012 A trip down to the Dishui Lake area, China, on a sunny day provided decent pics of a Richard's
pipit along with a Eurasian Skylark feeding nearby.  We were treated to a Eurasian Sparrowhawk flyover
and Great-crested Grebe and Black-necked Grebe swim-bys.  Also shown, Daurian Redstart (f), Vega Gull
, and a flock of Gadwall swimming in the sun.  A gorgeous day!
