10/8/10 Birded areas in Northern DE early morning and evening. Light was just incredible!  A Magnolia
Warbler made a great show along with a brave little Black-throated Green Warbler. A Yellow-rumped
Warbler swarm descended and a Red-bellied Woodpecker was storing food again. Caught a imm. Chipping
Sparrow indicating quite clearly by his gray back side that he wasn't a Clay!  A Ruby-crowned Kinglet , a
House Finch , and a Song Sparrow all paused briefly for a shot. (The Ruby-crowned very very briefly!)
10/8/10 Ashland, DE:  Bluejay , House Finch , Hairy Woodpecker , a Cooper's Hawk and an obliging Purple
Finch , not to mention a Ruby-crowned Kinglet flock all popped up for the lens!
10/9+10/10 Conowingo, MD and DE: The huge and the tiny: The Bald Eagle show at Conowingo is always fun
to watch as was the Golden-crowned Kinglet flock who stopped by our backyard.
10/9+10/10 More from DE: A very close Rose-breasted Grosbeak showed up along with a Red-bellied
Woodpecker gathering berries. A beautiful White-crowned Sparrow wasn't too concerned about us or the
camera and kept posing. Everybody froze as a Cooper's Hawk made an appearance. Also shown: House
Finch , Northern Mockingbird , and yellow-rumped Warbler.
