8/30 We went to photograph the Hudsonian Godwit that was hanging about Port Mahon Rd., DE. Some
Lesser Yellowlegs came up to the car, giving us an eye full. Saw a Bobolink flock of 20+ at Cartanza Rd.,
DE - what beautiful birds!
8/29 Carousel Farms, DE was busy with migrants, many of which were either too quick for us or they didn't
want to come out into the light!  We did catch a male Ruby-throated Hummingbird , a Gray Catbird , a
Carolina Chickadee , a Northern Cardinal, a juvenile Arcadian Flycatcher group, and a Canada Goose . The
cicadas are out in force this year!
9/1-9/3 It was raining warblers near our house and the weather was gorgeous! HAD to be outside! L to R:
Canada Warbler , Ruby-throated Hummingbird , Black-and-White Warbler , American Redstart (imm) ,
House Wren , Chestnut-sided Warbler , and a Tennessee Warbler  along with a unidentified flycatcher.
(Except for the Canada, pics aren't great (they just wouldn't hold still!) but still had to share!)
9/4 Stopped up in Hockessin, DE and captured an amazing fall-out:  Yellow Warbler , Northern Parula ,
American Goldfinch , Downy Woodpecker , White-breasted Nuthatch family , Great Crested Flycatcher (2) -
magnificent to watch! , and a Blackburnian Warbler ! Weather was fabulous!
