| 9/24/2017 : Amelia Island, FL: Have been busy with family and helping some unfortunate folks clean up after Irma. However, we did notice a gathering of waders at a newly formed pond nearby one evening and had to stop! Below: Wood Stork , Roseate Spoonbill , Painted Bunting (juv.), Great Egret , Osprey , Mourning Dove , Common Yellowthroat , Canada Goose , and two Great Blue Herons flying over the marsh. (The next day there were 20 Woodstorks; the day after - nothing! Migration is so fascinating. ) |
