| 4/22/2017 Steinhatchee area, FL: On a camping trip to the west coast of Florida we caught two Reddish Egret individuals in wonderful morning light as they were fishing. Then, a Red-breasted Merganser decided to take a bath in front of the camera and we snapped away. Finally, we spied a Clapper Rail out of the reeds , a perched Bald Eagle , a Willet hunting for food, and a Fish Crow posing. |
| 4/25/2017 Huguenot Memorial Park, FL: Found an Iceland Gull wandering the beach along with Royal Tern pairs all in fancy breeding plumage. Also: a Snowy Egret and Willet . |
| 4/29/2017 Amelia Island, FL: A rather loud Great-crested Flycatcher was calling while an Eastern Bluebird family had fledged. Also, A Blue-gray Gnatcatcher was found flitting about at eye-level. |
