| 4/17/2017 Amelia Island and Fort George Island, FL: Northern Parula (everwhere!), Yellow-throated Warbler , Carolina Chickadee , Tufted Titmouse , Great-crested Flycatcher , Spotted Sandpiper , Red-winged Blackbird, Red-shouldered Hawk , Red-bellied Woodpecker , Great Blue Heron nest building, Gray Catbird skulking , Eastern Bluebird hunting, and Indian Peafowl (Common Peafowl). Also: Chimney Swifts , Anhinga , and White-eyed Vireo . |
| 4/21/2017 Gainesville, FL: First, a Purple Gallinule study. This clever fellow looked under leaves to find snails. When he lost one, the next was taken to a bowl shaped leaf and eaten there! Also: Limpkin , Great Egret , Great Blue Heron , Common Grackle , Black Vulture , Snowy Egret (with 3 guppies). |
