| 2/1 - 2/11/2017 Costa Rica: We had a fantastic trip to Costa Rica - the people were lovely and the scenery was gorgeous. We traveled to Monteverde (1 day down to Pacific Coast, also Santa Elena and Paradise Reserve - Thanks, Jorge!), then to Dave and Dave's at La Virgen - Thanks, Dave and Dave! (and La Selva), and on to Poas Volcano and La Paz. The hummingbirds and trogons and toucans were awesome! It will take a while to go throught the images. | 2/6/2017 Day 6, Dave and Dave's Nature Pavillion at La Virgen, Costa Rica: This spot has quite a reputation with photographers. The Daves do a wonderful job, have a wonderful setup, and have fabulous birds on their property! More on NEXT PAGE below. | 2/6/2017 Day 6, La Virgen, Costa Rica: The biological reserve at our little lodge produced some wonderful birds: Bronze-tailed Plumeleteer , Variable Seedeater (we didn't hang around since the pair would not come near the nest with us there), Summer Tanager , Gray-capped Flycatcher , Great Tinamou , and Gray Hawk . |
