6/18/2014  St. Augustine, FL:  We had to check on all the heron families. Everybody grew so big while we
were gone and the adults are being mobbed by hungry teens when they return with food:  Wood Stork ,
Tri-colored Heron , Little Blue Heron , Snowy Egret , Roseated Spoonbill (The late nest had hatchlings!),
and Cattle Egret .
6/25/2014  Huguenot Memorial Park, FL: Royal Tern colony is blooming. (The Laughing Gulls seem to keep
their young in the greenery so we don't see them as much.)  Talk about fun to watch!
6/25/2014  Huguenot Memorial Park, FL:  Our little American Oystercatcher is all grown up and was
chasing off a Laughing Gull juvenile.  Also shown: Laughing Gull juvenile , Black Skimmer pair, and a
Sandwich Tern in flight.
6/29/2014  Fort Clinch, Amelia Island, FL: a brief stop yielded some goodies:  Wilson Plover family with 2
juveniles, Osprey , and Least Tern .
