| 4/3-6/2013 A trip to Kunming with a stay at Dianchi Garden Hotel - great for birders. They have a pleasant garden and it was wonderful to wake to bird songs in the morning. Scenes from the Western Hills with Taihua Temple, Magnolia Garden and other monuments along with Huating Temple on the mountain (Xi Shan). Also, Yunnan Nationalities Village had a good park and interesting exhibits. |
| 4/3-6/2013 A trip to Kunming and the Shilin Stone Forest and Dadieshui Pubu (Waterfall) - Wow for both! The falls are off the beaten path but very impressive and free. |
