| 9/7+8/2013 Beidaihe, China: Although we were a little early for migrants, we enjoyed a brief trip to this part of China and stayed on Happy Island where we, the birds, and the monks had the place basically to ourselves! Beidaihe and Happy Island: Little Grebe , Gull-billed Tern , Grey Heron , Pied Avocet flock in flight, Olive-backed Pipit , Mallard , Little Tern with young , Eurasian Curlew , Eurasian Wryneck , Dusky Warbler , Eastern Marsh Harrier , and Spot-billed Duck . |
| 9/7+8/2013 Beidaihe and Happy Island, China: Common Tern , Common Sandpiper , Common Meganser flock in flight , Black-tailed Gull (5 pics diff plumages), Common Kingfisher , Common Greenshank , Black-winged Stilt family in flight, then Black-naped oriole and Black-headed Gull (various plumages). Also, Bar-tailed Godwit pair in flight and Artic Warbler . |
