11/7-10/12 Xian, China:  At Hua Shan Mountain and the Tang Paradise Park we caught a number of
goodies:  Black-streaked Scimitar Blabbler (old Spot-breasted Scimitar Babbler) and Elliot's
Laughingthrush on the mountain and at the park, a Mandarin Duck flock (free and flying about), a White
Wagtail , a Grey Wagtail , a Plumbeous Water-Redstart (old Plumbeous Redstart ), a Chinese Bulbul flock ,
a Little Grebe , a Brambling , and a Common Kingfisher with a catch almost bigger than itself.
11/14/12 Gongqing Park and Century Park, Shanghai, China:  First, a close Eurasian Siskin study.  Then, a
Pale Thrush , a Grey-backed Thrush , a White-rumped Munia flock, a White's Thrush (Scaly Thrush), a
Japanese Thrush , a Red-flanked Bluetail taking a bath, a flock of Eye-browed Thrush (f+m), an
Azure-winged Magpie , a Dusky Thrush , A Common Starling , a Brambling , and a Chinese Bulbul.
11/17+20/12 Binjiang Forest Park and Century, Shanghai, China:  Azure-winged Magpie study , White's
Thrush , Varied Tit , Yellow-browed Warbler , Chinese Grosbeak , Yellow-bellied Tit , Eurasian Blackbird -
also taking a bath, Eye-browed Thrush , and a juvenile and adult Black-crowned Night Heron.  We couldn't
resist the fall colors as the leaves begin to change.
