| 11/7/16 Tasmania, Australia - the LAST DAY of our trip: Of the 12 Tasmanian endemics (Yellow Wattlebird , Tasmanian Thornbill, Forty-spotted Pardalote, Tasmanian Native-hen, Black-headed Honeyeater , Strong-billed Honeyeater , Yellow-throated Honeyeater , Dusky Robin , Tasmanian Scrubwren , Green Rosella , Scrubtit , and Black Curawong), we missed the Scrubtit but sure had fun looking for it! We wish we had had more time to explore the beautiful island. Around Hobart, Tasmania, Australia: the brightest bird we found the last day was a gorgeous male Scarlet Robin. The male Golden Whistler was a close second. Also: Dusky Robin and Olive Whistler. |
