6/19 Birding Hockessin area, DE: We came across an amazing Orchard Oriole photographic opportunity.
The lighting was brilliant and the birds were low and close - what more could you ask for? How about baby
Orchard Orioles being fed by papa? It was exciting to see 3 fledglings being fed by the male. Never saw
the female. Either she was very sneaky or she didn't want to approach while we were there. Or? We only
stayed a short time in case she was shy of us.  Also a Northern Flicker had a nest while a Great Crested
Flycatcher would have a hard time feeding its young the huge dragonfly it caught.
6/20/10 Birding Hockessin area, DE: We went back to try for better pics of the Northern Flicker - a tough
image with the wind blowing leaves in front of the lens just at the wrong times and the light  fading
behind clouds. Still very fun to watch! Also caught a close Gray Catbird sneaking by.
Week of 6/20/10 A few more pics of the Northern Flicker family (4 chicks! taken a mile away), a study of a
Yellow Warbler pair, a Baltimore Oriole pair, and a 1st year Orchard Oriole calling for a mate.
Week starting 7/1/10: Some pics from AZ:  Western Kingbird , Arizona Woodpecker, Sulphur-bellied
Flycatcher, Western Wood-Pewee , Mexican Jay , Verdin (Juv) and Cactus Wren (juv).
