|We will post some of our favorite, more recent pictures here first!
|5/11-13/10 Orlando, Florida: Took a few hours each morning to grab some photos of the two nest sites: the
Red-shouldered Hawk had 3 chicks almost ready to fledge! They were eating frogs (One chick stole a frog
meal from another), a snake, and lizards. The Pileated Woodpecker nest had 3 male chicks peeking out.
Both male and female adults showed up to feed the hungry trio. WOW - thrilling!
|5/13/10 Near Orlando Airport, FL: A Common Moorhen had an adorable family and the chicks were being
taught to find their own food. Also shown, An Osprey with nesting material and another eating a fish,
along with a Snail Kite in flight and in flight with a snail.
|April and May, 2010 Orlando, FL: A few more Red-shouldered Hawk images and more Pileated Woodpecker
pictures from May 2010.
