| 12/16/20 to 12/30/20 We traveled to see family and birded as we quarantined between families. We stopped at Quivira NWR, KS, on the way west and caught wonderful hawk morphs, then hit CO, NV, TX, AR, seeing the Spotted Rail, Sprague's Pipit, and Smith's Longspur and so much more. Great Holidays to all! |
| 12/16/2020 Quvira NWR, KS: Two Rough-legged Hawk individuals put on a show for us, the second being a dark phase. It was pleasant to have them be so tame and give us such great looks. |

| 12/16/2020 to 12/18/2020 Quvira NWR, KS and Denver, CO: Cherry Creek SP, Denver, CO: Light was poor but the Cackling Goose flock was huge. Also: Black-billed Magpie , Canada Goose , Northern Flicker , Common Golden Eye , and Common Merganser . |
