10/15/20 - 10/20/20 Amelia Island, FL: One definitely has to get out during migration - We were thrilled and very surprised to have a Black-throated Gray Warbler pop out of some berries. We had just seen a number of these warblers in AZ and suddenly recognized it for what it was. It did not appear to be eating the berries so much as the insects it found there. Also: American Avocet , Yellow-bellied Sapsucker , Yellow-billed Cuckoo , Wood Stork , White Ibis flock in flight, Swainson's Thrush , Sandwich Tern bathing , Red-shouldered Hawk , and Red-bellied Woodpecker . |
10/15/20 - 10/20/20 Amelia Island, FL: Piping Plover , Pine Warbler , Palm Warbler , Northern Cardinal , Laughing Gull , Indigo Bunting , Greater Black-backed Gull , Gray Catbird , Common Yellowthroat , Common Tern , Blue Gray Gnatcatcher , and Caspian Tern with a youngster who was still begging at times. |
