| 6/26/20 to 7/4/20 We headed north to Minnasota and North Dakota: It was gorgeous out and every bird seemed to be having young at the time. More pics from ND still coming! |
| 7/1/20 Near Steele, ND: We went out again in the evening to hear Yellow Rails and heard them "typing" in the reeds. We use no tapes/playback so we had to be content with that. Before it grew dark, we drove around the lakes and ponds, trying to catch other birds in the wonderful evening light: Black Tern , Bobolink , Clay-colored Sparrow , Eastern Kingbird eating a huge bug, Forster's Tern , Orchard Oriole catching a grasshopper , Red-tailed Hawk , and Ring-billed Gull . |
| 7/1/20 Near Steele, ND: Also that evening: Sedge Wren , Ring-necked Pheasant , Sora , Swainson's Hawk , Western Grebe , Western Kingbird , White Pelican , Willet with young , and Franklin's Gull . |
