| 4/28/19 to 5/6/19 TX and AZ: We were busy the month of April with the grand baby and the flu but bounced back to head out to TX and AZ for a camping trip. We stopped at Lost Maples and Big Bend National Park in TX, then headed to Paradise and Patagonia in AZ. It was an amazing trip with lots of birds and amazing stargazing at night. | 5/3/19 Paradise, AZ: We have to thank Jackie of The George Walker House where we stayed. It was fabulous and she was so helpful. Thanks, Jackie! The Western Tanager population at the house was to die for. Also: Scott's Oriole , Rivoli's Hummingbird , Lesser Goldfinch , Broad-tailed Hummingbird at flower, and Bridled Titmouse. |

| 5/1/19 Big Bend NP, TX: The landscape was wonderful so we snapped some images with our little pocket camera! Click NEXT PAGE for flowers AND the Colima Warbler - we started out at 4am with headlights (the stars were brilliant!) and all the camera equipment and lots of water. We heard our first warbler at about 7:30, about 5 miles in, then completed the 12 mi circuit. We saw 4 and heard 6 calling. Rattlesnake was taken at Paradise, AZ. |
