|8/28/18 to 9/9/18: We were fortunate enough to head to Ecuador for two weeks! We flew into Quito,
headed up to Tandayapa, then drove east to Milpe, west to Guango Lodge, and back to Quito. It was a
fantastic trip and we are still sorting the wonderful hummingbirds etc....it will take a while.
|8/28/18 and 8/29/18: Quito and Tandayapa, Ecuador: First, a male Violet-tailed Sylph (we saw very few
females) and an Andean Emerald study. Also: Blue-winged Mountain-Tanager.
|8/28/18 and 8/29/18: Quito and Tandayapa, Ecuador: Then, Toucan Barbet and Red-headed Barbet
studies. They were gorgeous!

Black-capped Tanager , Crowned Woodnymph , Fawn-breasted Brilliant , Golden Tanager ,
Orange-bellied Euphonia , Green-crowned Brilliant , Vermilion Flycatcher , Thick-billed Euphonia ,
Sparkling Violetear , and Great Thrush .
