| 2/1 - 2/11/2017 Costa Rica: We had a fantastic trip to Costa Rica - the people were lovely and the scenery was gorgeous. We traveled to Monteverde (1 day down to Pacific Coast, also Santa Elena and Paradise Reserve - Thanks, Jorge!), then to Dave and Dave's at La Virgen - Thanks, Dave and Dave! (and La Selva), and on to Poas Volcano and La Paz. The hummingbirds and trogons and toucans were awesome! It will take a while to go throught the images. | 2/9/2017 Day 9, We headed up towards Poas Volcano after birding around our where we found a little male Volcano Hummingbird (also seen at Poas), Slaty Flowerpiercer (m,f), Long-tailed Silky-flycatcher , and a Wilson's Warbler . |

| 2/9/2017 Day 9, Poas Volcano and Le Paz area: Emerald Toucanet , Coppery-headed Emerald , Passerini's Tanager (m), Purple-throated Mountain-gem, Baltimore Oriole , Silver-throated Tanager , White-naped Brush-Finch , and Fiery-throated Hummingbird . Then a few lesser quality pics: Rufous-collared Sparrow , Large-footed Finch , Black-cheeked Warbler bathing , Black-billed Nightingale-Thrush , and Sooty-capped Chlorospingus also bathing. |
