4/2/2016 to 4/18/2016   We traveled to Texas along the coast from Sabine Woods via Matagorda and
Kingsville down to South Padre Island and Brownsville.  Then, our trip took us up along the Rio Grande
where we tried to pick up some Mexican species.  We had a blast in great weather!
4/14/2016  Frontera Audubon Sanctuary and Bentsen SP, TX:  Tennessee Warbler contemplating a bath ,
male Summer Tanager showing the way, Ruby-throated Hummingbird , Plain Chachalaca duo displaying(?),
Painted Bunting (f) bathing , Northern Beardless-Tyrannulet (after days of hearing it sing), Nashville
Warbler , Harris' Hawk in flight, Clay-colored Thrush , Cliff Swallow with Cave Swallows , Common
Ground-Dove , Altamira Oriole at nest , and a Brown-crested Flycatcher (note under-tail markings).
4/14/2016  Frontera Audubon Sanctuary and Bentsen SP, TX : A Great-tailed Grackle study (m,f), Couch's
Kingbird , Great KIskadee nest, Black-crested Titmouse , Black-and-white Warbler , Broad-winged Hawk
(juv.) in flight and a beautiful bobcat that came to get a drink.
4/14-18/2016  San Ygancio, TX:  Needed to add a few last pics from the trip.  We ran into some Northern
Bobwhite (m,f) and a bridge across the Rio Grande with a huge Cliff Swallow colony.
