| 4/2/2016 to 4/18/2016 We traveled to Texas along the coast from Sabine Woods via Matagorda and Kingsville down to South Padre Island and Brownsville. Then, our trip took us up along the Rio Grande where we tried to pick up some Mexican species. We had a blast in great weather! |

White- tailed Hawk , Hooded Oriole , Ringed Kingfisher , Altamira Oriole eating and nest building, American Kestrel , Broad-winged Hawk (hundreds lifted off that morning!), Golden-fronted Woodpecker , Great Kiskadee (nest material), Green Jay , and Green Parakeet (from Brownsville, TX). |
| 4/11/2016 Estero Llano Grande SP and Santa Ana NWR, TX: Black-bellied Whistling-Duck , Altamira Oriole nest building , Great Kiskadee , Green Kingfisher (f,m), Least Grebe , Swainson's Hawk (ad, juv), White-faced Ibis , and Blue-winged Teal (f) along with a flock of Cattle Egret in flight. |
