| Still more from our Thanksgiving trip to Florida: a Purple Gallinule, Wood Storks, a Wilson's Snipe, a Tricolored Heron, a White Ibis at sunrise, Wild Turkeys, a Pied-billed Grebe, a Snail Kite, sunset at Kissimee Prairie Preserve Park, two Green Herons facing off, a Red-shouldered Hawk, Northern Rough-winged Swallows, Northern Shovelers, a Molted Duck, a Loggerhead Shrike, a Limpkin with snail, and a Goldfinch nibbling on seeds. |

| 12/30/08 A quick trip to Canada offered us an absolute owl-fest! We saw Snowy, Long-eared, N. Saw-whet, and a Boreal Owl, as well as Rough-legged and Red-tailed Hawks. Black-capped Chickadees ate from our hands! With an eye on us, a Northern Harrier swerved mid-flight to make a catch. |
