| 10/21/2014 Amelia Island, FL: A Red-shouldered Hawk study. Then: Red-eyed Vireo , Pileated Woodpecker , Palm Warbler , Northern Flicker , Downy Woodpecker , Common Yellowthroat, and some fun with a Brown Pelican flock in the blush of sunrise. Also, a really weird and hairy moth. |

| 10/23+24/2014 Amelia Island, FL and Okefenokee NWR, GA: Again, some beautiful days! Yellow-bellied Sapsucker , White-eyed Vireo (juv + ad) , Tufted Titmouse , Summer Tanager , Red-bellied Woodpecker (m+f) , Pine Warbler , Pileated Woodpecker (f), Wood Stork , Osprey with fish , Northern Parula , Blue-gray Gnatcatcher , Eastern Phoebe , Northern Bobwhite (a treat!) , Brown Thrasher , Gray Catbird , and Belted Kingfisher . |

| 10/27/2014 South of Amelia Island, FL : Wonderful sunshine still! Belted Kingfisher migrants are showing up. Also, Wilson's Plover , Black Skimmer , Osprey (One with 2 fish!), Ring-billed Gull , Sanderling , Sandwich Tern , Semipalmated Plover , Short-billed Dowitcher , a Tree Swallow swarm on beach , Western Sandpiper , Willet , Mallard (eclipse), Least Sandpiper , Dunlin , and a posing Great Blue Heron . |
